EMIS Access is an online service offered by the clinical computer system EMIS to allow patients to perform certain tasks online. The system links into the practice clinical system and allows the patient, once they have registered for the service to Book appointments online, request repeat prescriptions, alter contact details, without having to ring or call into the practice.
Registering for EMIS Access
First of all you must register to use the Internet prescription ordering facility. Ask the receptionist, for a registration form, which provides the information you need to register to use the Internet facility.
New Patient Registration
Patients who receive regular prescriptions from the Practice can request a repeat prescription from the practice by logging onto NHSAPP and ticking which drugs are required. The Dr then either accepts or declines the request and the patient is notified.
